Common restaurant problems — and how Butter fixes them
Not paid add-ons, but workflows connected from day one.
Delivery-app orders are re-typed into the POS, often wrong or late to the kitchen.
GrabFood and GoFood orders arrive in the POS automatically, with a sound alert, and print right away — even when the iPad is locked. ButterPOS
COGS is a guess because recipes aren’t recorded and stock isn’t deducted per sale.
Recipes and sub-recipes are linked to every dish, so stock is deducted per order and COGS is visible per menu item. Mastermind
Each outlet runs its own menu and prices, and they drift apart.
Manage menus, modifiers, taxes and prices from one backoffice and apply them to every outlet at once. ButterPOS
Shift cash shortfalls surface weeks later.
Every shift’s cash is recorded as a Xero invoice and bank deposits are matched to the slip — any difference needs a reason. ButterPOS
Supplier bills are paid by hand across several banking apps with no approval trail.
Supplier bills go into ButterPay, get approved, then are paid and synced to Xero with their attachments. ButterPay

Questions from restaurant owners
What hardware do I need?
ButterPOS runs on iPad and Android tablets (including iMin POS terminals), with networked Epson printers for receipts and kitchen tickets. The cash drawer opens through the receipt printer.
Can GrabFood and GoFood orders go straight into the POS?
Yes. GrabFood, GoFood and online-store orders arrive in the POS in real time with a sound alert and print automatically. You can also sync your menu to both platforms.
Which payment methods does the POS take?
Cash (rounded to Rp100), QRIS, BCA and BRI card terminals, other methods, and split payments across several methods.
Can COGS be calculated from recipes?
Yes. Link recipes and sub-recipes to each dish. Stock is deducted per order and COGS shows per menu item in Mastermind.
Does Butter connect to Xero?
Yes. Shift cash, bank deposits, supplier bills and online-order payments can all sync to Xero.
